Modern day Western yoga owes its roots to the ancient Indian practice of yoga and combines physical postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation to promote physical and mental health.
Joseph Pilates developed what we know as ‘pilates’ in the 1920’s, focusing on building core strength and body awareness to improve postural alignment, balance and flexibility.
